VIND chair series
A chair that takes offset at The Louisiana museum The starting point for this project, is that my previous Fritz Hansen chair stood at the museum for over 16 years, namely the ICE chair. I contacted Louisiana and Fritz Hansen, to pitch the idea for designing a chair series that took offset in the museum and the surroundings in humlebæk, balancing the fine line between Art, Nature and Architecture.
I like to take a starting point in a given place, and this is not just any place. Louisiana has always been my favorite museum, first of all because of the great exhibitions, the architecture, and not least the nature. This place is something out of the ordinary. Here you just enjoy ‘being’, and I am always inspired in these settings.
Comfort and durability My focus with this series has been the comfort and the long term durability. Comfort comes from the double curved back that allows for different seating positions, and the woven rope, makes the seat soft, and gives a warm and flexible feeling, even at cold days outside.

VIND chair series
March 12th, 2026
I am so excited that this project is out now, – in the ‘VIND’.
Three years ago, I contacted Louisiana and Fritz Hansen, with the idea of designing a new chair series for the museum, that could also be relevant other places. The idea was well received, – and so the way was paved for a great project. I have worked with the good team at Fritz Hansen for 3 years now, and the launch will take place at Louisiana museum and 3 days of design in June 2026.
The basic idea of this project has been to create a furniture series for Louisiana that does not take away the focus from the art, but rather serves as a ‘good host for the guests’. In other locations than Louisiana, it will also serve as a functional and long lasting host for its guests.
A huge thanks to Louisiana for embracing the idea, and be a good host for the new series of chairs and tables.
And a big thanks to Fritz Hansen for developing this series into a functional and well crafted series.
